How Data Is Handled

The enquiry builder works on your device. Correspondence reaches us only when you choose to send it through your own email service.

Who is responsible

Mysteryparceljlt Facility Media Ltd is responsible for personal information it receives in connection with this editorial website. Our registered office is 15 Colmore Row, Birmingham B3 2BH, United Kingdom; company no. 15307624. Contact [email protected] for privacy enquiries.

The local enquiry tool

The contact tool constructs a plain-text message using the details you enter. Its JavaScript does not upload the form, send an email or intentionally retain the draft in localStorage or cookies. The preview remains in the page while it is open. Browser autofill, back-page restoration and device-level features may retain entries independently.

The copy button writes the assembled text to your clipboard only when you select it. The download button creates a text file on your device. Clipboard history, downloaded files, backups and any subsequent sharing are controlled by you and your device settings. Avoid entering sensitive or unnecessary personal information.

Information received by email

If you email us, we receive the message, your address, any name you provide and associated email metadata. We use these details to respond, assess corrections, manage editorial correspondence and maintain appropriate business records. Our usual lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating the publication and answering enquiries, balanced against your rights. We may also process information where necessary to meet a legal obligation.

Please do not send health records, identifiable information about children or confidential third-party material. We do not need these to consider an ordinary editorial question.

Technical information

Delivering a website normally involves processing technical information such as an IP address, requested file, browser details, timestamp and error information through hosting infrastructure. Such information may be used for delivery, security and fault diagnosis. This site’s application code does not include analytics, advertising pixels or third-party embedded media.

External reference links do not load the linked service until you visit it. Once you leave this site, the destination’s privacy practices apply.

Recipients and safeguards

Information may be processed by service providers needed for hosting, email and security, or disclosed where legally required. Access should be limited to the purpose concerned. Where personal information is transferred internationally, applicable transfer requirements and appropriate safeguards must be observed. We do not sell reader correspondence.

Retention

We retain correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry, editorial record, dispute handling or legal requirements. Material supporting a published correction may need to be kept longer than a routine question. Unnecessary personal details should be removed when no longer needed. You may ask us about the retention of a specific message.

Your rights

Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal information and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office or your competent data-protection authority. Contacting us first may help resolve the issue, but is not a condition of making a complaint.
